Responding
to the increasing concern of preserving healthy environment,
PT Suparma Tbk invested De-Inking Plant facility with total
capacity of 40,800 tons p.a..
This
De-Inking Plant is built for recycling waste paper into De-Inking
Pulp, which is the part of raw material in the production
process.
The
process of De-Inking is aimed to increase production efficiency
as well as to help conserve the forest environment.
Prior
to the De-Inking process, wastepaper is sorted and classified
according to its grade and quality.
Chronologically,
the process of De-Inking is done in several stages:
1. Re-pulping / De-fibering
2. Cleaning and Screening
3. Kneading with chemical addition and Soaking
4. Flotating
5. Bleaching and Washing
The
product of the De-Inking process is called De-Inked Pulp.
The
de-inked pulp is then transferred to the stock preparation
to be refined to a certain degree of freeness and blended
with virgin pulp, and other materials including chemicals
to restructure as well as to improve the quality of the fiber
properties.
Finally,
the pulp is ready to be processed on the paper machine.
